How to get blog traffic from Youtube ?

Posted on June 25th, 2009 in Uncategorized | No Comments »

How to get blog traffic from youtube? Uploading video to youtube is easy but what can we do to generate traffic to our blog from the video? Here are important ideas and steps which helps to bring traffic from youtube video. First I will list three basic steps and then will discuss each step in detail. 1) Create your own video 2) Register with youtube and Upload your video with correct title. 3) Incorporate and mention your blog url at appropriate places on youtube. 1) Now we will look at first step as what kind of video can be prepared? You need something related to your blog subject. Website owners use youtube for marketing and selling their products with sales video but I am not talking of that. We need video related to our blog subject. In general humorous video, how to video, some catchy dance and music video, amazing and interesting facts video, educational video etc. will catch attention and will get many views. e.g. I can prepare video related to some of the posts on this blog as How to shift to custom domain,How to get blog traffic or How to make money from blog. Many bloggers have personal blogs so they can have video on making some recipe, how to swim or some kitchen tips and tricks, funny video of their animal or pet, video of the places they have visited, video of sports they play or teaching or giving tips on some sports, video on party they have organized etc. You can capture video using webcam, cellphone or handy cam or whichever is most suitable. Youtube accepts many file formats for video uploading so file format is not big issue but if you go for high quality video then file size is too large. So normal resolution is ok. Also read youtube help regarding this. Video file size also increases with the time so as far as possible keep video length from 5 minutes to 15 minutes.(for few subjects it can be longer). Picture and sound quality should be clear and if you know little of video editing it helps you to edit the video. 2) If you are not already registered, you need to register at youtube.com. After login you will find a yellow color Upload button on right hand corner. Then click on Upload video file. Then clicking on Upload video gives you a browse window to choose video from your computer hard disk and upload it. You also have to enter title, description, tags and category. And then click save. It takes some time for your video to go live. Since your video will appear in youtube search result based on video title and description, it is very important to choose correct post title and description. Hence do some research on youtube by searching related videos and enter the keywords you are looking for in your video title and description. Also enter your blog url in description. 3) Now you need to add your blog url in the video. Go to my video and then Annotations then click on Add note (see the image below) it gives you a window on the video asking “Enter your text here”. Type your blog url here then you can change color if required , then holding mouse cursor you can drag it from center to one of the corner so that it does not come in the way of watching video.

blog traffic from youtube Now you have to choose time period for which this will appear on video so you can select full time starting from 0.0 to full length of video. Now you have to click on save and publish. Check your blog url is appearing on video or not. You also need to enter your blog url in your profile. You need to go to Account > Profile setup > website. See the picture below. blog traffic tip youtube Now logout and search youtube with keyword you have mentioned in video title and see where you can find it in search results and watch the video. You can fine tune the video title and description if required for better ranking. Send emails to your friends giving url of video and asking them to watch the video and rate it. Getting few higher ratings creates good impression on visitors. Your account at youtube also has insight and statistics option under My account where you can come to know from where visitors has come to watch your video.

So what are you waiting for ? Shoot a video and fire !

Do you have use for a Machine Gun around here?

Posted on June 24th, 2009 in Marketing | No Comments »

Then perhaps you just need a great ebook!

The opening line is by Elmer Wheeler - considered America’s Greatest Salesman. Millions follow his teachings and have seen infinite success just by putting his advice in place.

Now imagine if you were an Internet Marketer and you could do the same?

Well, now  you can!

I’ve been an affiliate marketer for some time now, and have recently had the pleasure of reviewing ‘Canned Genius: Internet Marketing’. It’s a product which left me completely amazed at some things I had been missing all along.

Canned Genius: Internet Marketing came about after an investigation into scams online. The author, Susan Black, was dismayed by how many people were getting blatantly ripped off, but then she stumbled across a group of people whose backgrounds checked out and were actually selling good services to the public.

She befriended them and then interviewed them about their success, how they really did it, what the key things were that made them join the big leagues and what their biggest recommendations are for others who want to succeed online.

The book is a series of 8 interviews with these successful people, including Andrew Hansen, Colleen Slater and Tristan Bull to name a few.

Its an eye opener and is certainly a great read for anyone in the Internet Marketing business, as these people give an honest and truthful account of their success.

Canned Genius is a highly recommendable product, I really enjoyed reading about the real ways to be successful without all the sales pitch blurb. I also liked that all the contributors offered a free product of their own, some offered advice or a special report just for purchasers of the book.

Work From Home - Should You Keep Your Blogger Blog Or Move to WordPress?

Posted on June 24th, 2009 in Uncategorized | No Comments »

There are many different ways to market your online home business without spending any money at all. However, you must keep in mind that time is money so this method may not be totally free after all, but you won’t have to dig into your pockets to start making money online. In this article we will discuss one free way to get noticed by the major search engines almost immediately working from home using the power of blogs.

There are two types of blogs you can set up within a few minutes. Blogger.com is well known throughout the Internet market arena that you can join for free and start loading valuable content to pages as fast as you are willing to work it. One main drawback to Blogger.com is that you are not in total control of your sites content. The reason is you’re not able to host this blog on your own hosting account which limits your control.

On the other hand, WordPress Blog can be hosted by your own website hosting which gives you a lot more control of its content and everything else. This doesn’t mean that you can’t make a full time income using Blogger Blogs; the real difference is who really have control over which blog you choose.

There are many people who use Blogger Blogs that are making a great income online. In some cases they maybe easier to get ranked by the search engine because of its popularity and who’s hosting it. So either of the two really does have its advantages.

With Wordpress Blogs there are numbers of plugins that can be very beneficial to its user. With these versatile, this particular blog has become very popular over the last few years. In fact, many gurus will only use WordPress Blogs because of the advantages they have. However, if you’ve used a Blogger Blog for a long time period, you may want to think twice before you abandon it because of its possible authority it may have.

Thousands of people work from home using one or both of these blog websites and make a full time income.  The great thing about these websites is using social bookmarking. You can make a posting to your blog and bookmark it at several bookmarking sites and have your posting in front of thousands within a few minutes. Unlike writing articles and submitting them to article directories and waiting to have them approved which is a good thing, your blog postings can be recognized almost immediately.

If you work from home and have a product you like to sell or if you are an affiliate marketer who sells other peoples product online, you may want to consider using blogs along with your article writings for maximum exposure. No one will know about your products unless you take the time to come up with a good Internet marketing strategy that could not only benefit the buyers, but you also. I wish you the very best with your new online Internet marketing strategies.

Using Social Networking Websites to Promote Your Online Website

Using Social Networking Websites to Promote Your Online Website

Do you own or operate your own website? With the rising popularity of the internet, there is a good chance that you do. A large number of internet users run their own personal websites, but others run their websites as a way to make money. Of course, any website owner wishes to promote their online website, but those who rely on their websites for income are more willing to. Whichever type of website you have, did you know that you could help to promote it with online social networking websites?

If you are wondering how and why you should use social networking websites to promote your online website, you are not alone. A fairly large numbers of internet users aren’t even sure what social networking sites are or how they work. Online social networking websites are like online communities. They give internet users an easy and fairly safe way to come together. Many social networking websites are designed to make it easier for you to search for and make contact with other internet users, especially those that you have something in common with.

With a fairly large number of social networking websites, including MySpace, having over a millions users, there is a good chance that you could not only make new friends, but find internet users that would be interested in visiting your online website, especially if that website is your personal website. When joining an online networking community, you should be given your own profile page. On this page you could not only describe yourself, your online website. By mentioning what your personal online webpage is all about and providing a link, you should receive a number of new visitors.

As previously mentioned, social networking websites can benefit all website owners, but especially those who are looking to make a profit with their websites. This can be done one of two ways, by selling something or by relying on revenue from advertising. If you have a website that selling products or services, you may find it a little bit easier to use social networking sites to your advantage. This is because, if you wish, you could do product or service spotlights. Each day, week, or month, you could showcase one of the products or services that your website sells. This could either be done right on your profile page or on a blog page, which is provided by most social networking websites.

If you are using your online website to make money with advertising programs, such as affiliate programs or Google Adsense, you may need to approach social networking websites in a different matter. Since you will not necessarily have a particular product or service to focus on, you will need to approach these websites as if they were personal websites. If your website discusses being a dog owner, it may be a good idea to state your love for dogs in your profile. After doing so, it would be acceptable and not necessarily considered spam to add a link to your online website. As with all other types of online websites, social networking websites should help to increase the number of page views your website receives. In most cases, more page views mean more clicks which means money for you.

As you can easily see, there are a number of different ways that you can promote your online website, no matter what type of website you have or what you use it for. By keeping the above mentioned points in mind, you should be able to see an increase in your page views, in no time at all.

Focused Visitors Direct.
If you are concerned in article marketing?” and you were to pose that question to a group of online beginner’s who are just starting out, 9 out of 10 will regard this form of promotion as difficult work for the return of investment in man hours they would be expecting from traffic in the form of sales no doubt nor realizing the power of some article directories.
The benefit and the hidden aspect of return of investment and possible the best advantage is that ezine article for one is PR6 and one of the top sites on the Net. So it instantly has more credibility than many so it is better to get high placement on Google and the other social networking sites

Take some of your keywords and check out Google and you will likely see ezinearticle stories on the front page of a few of them. A good buddy of mine who only uses article promotion to pimp his sites deliberately looks for ezine articles on the front page and then writes something similar. He figures that with some links he’ll drive them off the front page.

Also, it is a brilliant way to get readers to go straight to your website. I posted an article about three weeks back and have gotten 348 visitors straight away to my site so far ( stats are according to ezine articles ) typical view has it that you want to spin-off different versions of your Blog post ( there are tens of applications on Google to have that done immediately to avoid Duplicate Content Penalties ) and submit it to article directories ( ezine articles is in the Ivy League of article directories ) which permit a link back to your site/blog in the author/resource box.

The reason for doing so is simple - Your article benefits from the authority rank ( gets link juice ) of the article directory and would often rank higher than your beginner site/blog without you having to pump your article on that particular directory.

Based on that same logic one would typically disagree that it might be smart for anyone to leverage that advantage of methodically sending an a little changed version of the same article to article directory while using your SYNND credits to push link backs from other social networking sites

Incidentally, totally not related but still applicable from the point of link building:

“OnlyWire” bookmarking widget installed at the end of each post make it less complicated for folk to spread the buzz about content if they liked it. The OnlyWire widget allows many site visitors whether subscribed to Onlywire or not to sign in once - set-up accounts with these social networking sites and bookmark with one push the posts one likes to many social networking sites
Why OnlyWire?
OnlyWire is the speediest, simplest way to submit web content to all of your social bookmarking sites automatically.

Using a stable, secure and optimized platform for boosted performance and reliability, OnlyWire is now BETTER, Quicker and FULLY SUPPORTED. OnlyWire users can share and distribute their internet content to the range of social bookmarking sites, for increased traffic, increased backlinks and improved search engine index speed.

OnlyWire allows you to manage submissions instantly with The Power of the Button™.
Drive giant traffic fast and easy
Increase your backlinks
Increase search engine index speed
Auto-submit new posts to multiple bookmarking sites

This is what I keep an eye open for when I am going to any social networking sites Blog/site to read up on the post before making the comment. If there is an Onlywire widget, I just un-tick what’s already covered through social networking sites ( Juicy & Digg) and submit the rest. “Conventional view has it that you need to spin-off different variations of your Blog post ( there are tens of applications on Google to have that done right away to avoid Duplicate Content Penalties ) and submit it to article directories”

I’ve been doing article promotion for years and we should NEVER use the same article on our blog and in an ezine directory. Money24Seven Blog for web Business Success

A Guide to RSS Aggregators

Posted on June 23rd, 2009 in Website Traffic | No Comments »

A Guide to RSS Aggregators

One of the most popular features of Internet portals, websites, pages and even emails is a frame that features an organized list of news headlines and periodic updates from other web sources. Really Simple Syndication, formerly “Rich Site Summary” or simply, RSS makes this possible.

Most users visit a lot of websites whose content continually change, such as news sites, community organization or professional association information pages, medical websites, product support pages, and blogs. As Internet surfing became an intrinsic part of business and leisure, it became important to get rid of the very tedious task of repeatedly returning to each website to see updated content.

RSS easily distributes information from different websites to a wider number of Internet users. RSS aggregators are programs that use RSS to source these updates, and then organize those lists of headlines, content and notices for easy reading. It allows computers to automatically retrieve and read the content that users want, then track changes and personalize lists of headlines that interests them.

The specially made computer programs called “RSS aggregators” were created to automatically find and retrieve the RSS feeds of pre-selected internet sites on behalf of the user and organize the results accordingly. (RSS feeds and aggregators are also sometimes referred to as “RSS Channels” and “RSS Readers”.)

The RSS aggregator is like a web browser for RSS content. HTML presents information directly to users, and RSS automatically lets computers communicate with one another. While users use browsers to surf the web then load and view each page of interest, RSS aggregators keeps track of changes to many websites. The titles or descriptions are links themselves and can be used to load the web page the user wants.

RSS starts with an original Web site that has content made available by the administrator. The website creates an RSS document and registers this content with an RSS publisher that will allow other websites to syndicate the documents. The Web site also produces an RSS feed, or channel, which is available together with all other resources or documents on the particular Web server. The website will register the feed as an RSS document, with a listed directory of appropriate RSS publishers.

An RSS feed is composed of website content listed from newest to oldest. Each item usually consists of a simple title describing the item along with a more complete description and a link to a web page with the actual content being described. In some instances, the short description or title line is the all the updated information that a user wants to read (for example, final games scores in sports, weblogs post, or stock updates). Therefore, it is not even necessary to have a web page associated with the content or update items listed — sometimes all the needed information that users need would be in the titles and short summaries themselves.

The RSS content is located in a single file on a webpage in a manner not very different from typical web pages. The difference is that the information is written in the XML computer code for use by an RSS aggregator and not by a web user like a normal HTML page.

There are 2 main parts that are involved in RSS syndication, namely the source end and the client end.

The client end of RSS publishing makes up part of the system that gathers and uses the RSS feed. For example, Mozilla FireFox browser is typically at the client end of the RSS transaction. A user’s desktop RSS aggregator program also belongs to the client end.

Once the URL of an RSS feed is known, a user can give that address to an RSS aggregator program and have the aggregator monitor the RSS feed for changes. Numerous RSS aggregators are already preconfigured with a ready list of RSS feed URLs for popular news or information websites that a user can simply choose from.

There are many RSS aggregators that can be used by all Internet users. Some can be accessed through the Internet, some are already incorporated into email applications, and others run as a standalone program inside the personal computer.

RSS feeds have evolved into many uses. Some uses gaining popularity are

-For online store or retail establishments Notification of new product arrivals
-For organization or association newsletters title listings and notification of new issues, including email newsletters
-Weather Updates and other alerts of changing geographic conditions
-Database management Notification of new items added, or new registered members to a club or interest group.

The uses of feeds will continue to grow, because RSS aggregators make access to any information that individual users like more convenient and fun.

Do you want Sound and Graphics on your blog?

Posted on June 23rd, 2009 in Uncategorized | No Comments »

If you are thinking about spiffing up your a blog a bit, it may make sense to add sound and/or graphics to your blog. You may want to consider this if you have either a personal or business blog. Both types can normally be improved with judicious use of audio, pictures and video. You may consider adding a picture or two of yourself, or some pictures of the products you are selling. Pictures of yourself tend to personalize your blog and build relationships with your readers faster.

Depending on your blog configuration, you may need to know a little bit of HTML to get the codes installed. It’s possible you can get by with come copy and paste instead of HTML knowledge.

In addition to sound and pictures, you will want to consider other things, such as a blogroll and link lists, both to provide valuable information to your readers and to monetize your blog. These items should all be related to your blog’s main topic or subjects.

It is important that you are careful not to overload your blog with video and/or audio. Too much and you will draw your readers away from the important writing you have placed on the blog. You don’twant so much audio and video that it becomes distracting to your readers. The amount is a decision only you can make.

I am sure that you, like me, have been to blogs that had so much side-bar stuff that it was impossible to focus on the blog itself. Overload yours and that is exactly how it could turn out. When it comes to everything outside of your blog posts, less is better.

Princess Diana Coming to Downtown Disney

Princess Diana Exhibit at Downtown Disney

Walt Disney World & Downtown Disney Bring you Princess Diana Exhibit

Have you been wondering what would become of the former home of the Virgin Mega-store at Downtown Disney, well wonder no longer.

Beginning in early July, the People’s Princess Charitable Foundation, Inc. (PPCF) is bringing a new exhibit of royal artifacts called “DIANA-The People’s Princess” to that location. The limited-time experience showcases the life and story of Princess Diana, including a sampling of the royal dresses she chose to auction for charity and hundreds of authentic artifacts relating to her life.

The exhibit will consume the 17,500-square-foot former retail store and will feature:

  • The stories of Diana’s own childhood and ancestry and how that lineage was influential in her selection as the future bride of HRH Charles, The Prince of Wales, the future King of England.
  • Her magical royal wedding which was viewed by over 750 million people from around the globe; her favorite role as “mum” to princes William and Harry.
  • Kensington Palace, the royal residence where Diana lived from the moment she became the Princess of Wales until her death and which today plays an active role in preserving her charitable legacy.
  • The historical significance of her role as Princess of Wales and the impact she had through that role on the fashion industry and charitable landscape.
  • How at the Christie’s “Sale of The Century,” 79 of Diana’s royal dresses were sold to benefit charities which helped position her as an astute philanthropist.
  • Her untimely passing and the massive media and public interest in the tragedy.
  • The charitable impact still being recognized through her gowns and personal effects.

Some of the items on display will be:

  • Royal Doulton figurine of Diana in her wedding dress - Made in 1981 at the time of the royal wedding, the doll is wearing an exact replica of the famous wedding dress.
  • The Black Velvet “V” Neck - Designed by Bruce Oldfield and worn by Diana for her official royal portrait in 1985.
  • Wedding Breakfast booklet - Contains guest names and two tickets to observe the bride and bridegroom before and following the wedding ceremony in the quadrangle at Buckingham Palace and Clarence House.
  • Three-foot doll of Diana as a young girl - Released by the Great American Doll Company in 1998 as a tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales.

Unlike Virgin MegaStore, you will need to purchase a separate admission to the “DIANA-The People’s Princess” exhibit.

Prices will be $14.50 (ages 10 and above), $5 (ages 3-9). The exhibition will be through Nov. 30, 2009. Hours are 11 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.
